Does Rosacea Disappear After Menopause?

The fact of the matter is that as women experience hot flashes during menopause, they often trigger flare-ups in their rosacea.  However, these triggers aren’t necessarily the underlying cause of this skin disorder. But once the hot flashes diminish or subside altogether, the rosacea symptoms may still continue and result in an exacerbation of your particular physical reactions to the skin disease.

As you may already know, rosacea is a long-term skin disorder where there is no cure at this time.  However, it can be effectively controlled through the use of medical treatments and avoidance of environmental and lifestyle factors.

If you find that your hot flashes are a particularly difficult rosacea trigger, the management of this disorder may be more predictable once they stop.  This is contingent, however, upon maintaining your rosacea therapy and monitoring of your triggers.
